Fractured System

AVAILABLE

An elegant curved arc emerges from absolute darkness — a single unified form defined by flowing topographic lines. The arc suggests movement suspended in time: water flowing, land folding, matter bending under immense pressure yet remaining graceful and coherent.

The arc is complete and whole, yet carved entirely from the surrounding void. This paradox — solidity defined by emptiness, form emerging from pure negation — is the essence of geological presence itself.

Fractured System captures the moment when primordial matter achieves its most elegant form: the instant where pressure and release create beauty, where geological forces compress into a single, memorable curve.

The eight works of Igneous begin in darkness and density. These are drawings of formation: of geological pressure, of matter compressed into shape, of the moment before rupture. Fractured System is the opening statement — the primordial form emerging from void, the first curve in a series that will trace matter’s transformation across deep time.

Fractured System is part of Cartography of Collapse, a series of 16 original ink drawings on paper (2026) tracing geological transformation from formation through dissolution. Created in a single session without revision — the irreversible line mirroring the irreversibility of geological processes.

Each drawing is improvised, capturing the moment when primordial matter achieves its most elegant form. The series moves in two acts: Igneous (formation, density, compression) and Erosion (dissolution, dispersal, return to void).
