The sound score for IRIS was composed in Ableton Live with Max for Live, designed to move in sync with the sphere’s vertical motion and the shifting light. Rather than ambient backdrop, the sound has structure and arc — it opens, develops, and closes with the installation itself.
The work was exhibited under the title Reflectio at Lighthouse Art 2020 (August 18–23, 2020), a group exhibition of fourteen light installations occupying the interior spaces of the Csokonai Theatre, Debrecen — the building’s farewell exhibition before its renovation. Official credit in the exhibition documentation: “music: J3ZZ” (Let It Be Art Agency).
The visual artists subsequently developed the work into further iterations (IRIS 2.0–4.0, 2021–2023) under their EOZIN collective. J3ZZ’s contribution is specific to the original 2020 version.
